Drama and Theatre Educator

Zoe is an accomplished drama and theatre educator with a career spanning over two decades.

Renowned for her expertise in fostering creativity and collaboration, Zoe has guided countless students in exploring the transformative power of theatre.

Her innovative approaches to teaching, rooted in her deep knowledge of acting, physical theatre, traditional and contemporary theatre styles, Australian and World Theatre traditions and devised drama and theatre-making, have consistently inspired artistic excellence and personal growth.

Passionate about empowering young artists, she creates connected frameworks for drama education that integrate artistic rigour and industry with wellbeing, nurturing the next generation of storytellers and performers.

Zoe has led secondary school drama faculties in Sydney and Adelaide, and her leadership extends beyond the classroom, contributing to curriculum development, professional training, and advocacy for the arts.

She is currently a member of the SACE Drama Renewal Group, implementing evidence based concepts to refresh the senior drama curriculum in South Australia. She has marked senior drama in New South Wales and South Australia and holds the role of Drama Australia Liaison Officer with Drama South Australia.

Zoe frequently contributes to local, national and international conferences both as a teaching artist and emerging researcher and is Co-Directing the upcoming Drama Australia National Drama Education Conference, INVIGORATE!

Zoe was recently awarded the Educators SA World Teachers Day Ministers Arts Education Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to drama education.
